ash and cherry

Another tea scoop from the 120+ years old ash wood from our garden and wild cherry tea pick. I think they would make a nice couple :) I was playing with the bottom of the scoop a little bit and created wavy surface. I already did this before, really like how this feels and looks.

Petr Novák's pot on the tea bridge in Mirka Randová's boat. I usually like to have something beneath my tea pot or cup when making the tea. A wooden coaster or something. I am using slate or other tea stone and I recently purchased tea boat made by Mirka Randová.  It is absolutely beautiful. From the beginning I knew that I wanna make a wooden coaster or something to put inside so the pot can stand on it. And I like the wood and pottery or stone combination, it adds warmth to it. So I dared to upgrade Mirka's boat with oak "tea bridge". I like how the pot is elevated from the boat and also how the water or tea is dropping from the bridge, it makes nice sound and it is beautiful to watch. I am quite happy with it, it is joy to use. with Petr's cup

Ancient Redgum

Hello friends,  after three years of this blog being dead I decided to start posting again. Poor quality photos on Instagram was one reason, and also I would like to share here bit more than on IG.  Extra photos of the pieces I made and probably more tea related and nature photos as well.  Hope you will like this, that you find time to look here and enjoy beauty of the wood and other on bigger screen. Set went to my dear customer in Singapore. This Redgum wood comes from ancient tree that was about 1,000 years old when felled some 8,000 years ago.
