old oak

Today I finished my second tea holder from very fine oak wood. The wood comes from an old door frame that used to be part of our house for more than 100 years. The wood has a lot of character and it's about 250 years old. There was a small hole in the wood and I put a piece of hawthorn in there...I think it's a nice touch to its personality.

This one is perfect for your rolled tea, it can hold approximately 8 grams of tea...btw it is sitting on the very same wood it is made of. Tea pick is from a root. Teaware by Petr Novak.
