stone and wood
As I posted earlier I am experimenting with applying clay (brick powder, local clay...) on the wood's surface. Other thing that I wanted to try was using ground stone. I started with slate as it is relatively easy to grind and it is also my favourite stone. In this case I am using Swedish slate which has beautiful purple color. I am quite happy with the the look and feel of the glaze like finish. Looking forward to try other stones. Here are few photos of the finished maple wood scoop.
